XCAR was established in 2004 to fill in the gap in the car rental industry by making professional car hire services available to serve both leisure and corporate clients’ needs in Tanzania.

SELF DRIVE CAR HIRE SERVICES
Experience driving your own way! Over the years we have developed systems, a well maintained vehicle capability and support services to enable delivery of reliable self drive car rental services, for city drive or upcountry travel. Read our rental guide for more information on how you can easily rent a car on self drive basis.
XCAR CHAUFFEUR SERVICES
Focus on your business as you go! XCAR Chauffeur service is designed for those who want to rent a car and a driver for a full day. All XCAR drivers are uniformed, well informed, experienced and helpful. This enables you to travel in safety and comfort, allowing you to concentrate on your activities as you travel.
Transfer Service, also part of chauffeur services is designed for travellers travelling to hotels or airports or any other location as specified by the customer. You will work with our experienced staff in planning your pick up time and place to ensure a smooth, hassle free transfer, allowing you to relax and make the most of your valuable time
Rental Guide: Chauffeur driven Car hire
- Chauffeur driven rates are based on a 12 hour rental period per day. An additional $ 10 is currently applicable for rentals exceeding 7.30PM to Midnight. From midnight a $10 per hour fee will apply.
- Airport/ Hotel transfers refer to ONLY pick up and drop off service provided to customers travelling to/ from the airport/hotel. To ensure a hassle free transfer, we advice our customers to present a full itinerary or ticket details in order to help us arrange and carefully monitor your transfer.
- Rented vehicles are due back according to the date and time indicated on the rental agreement. Call our offices if you need to extend your rental. Usually a minimum of 48 hour (if applicable) notification is required before the contract ends.
- XCAR always includes in a car a set of accessories such as jack, wheel spanner, reflector triangles, a fire extinguisher, First aid Kit and other equipments requested by the customer. For chauffeur driven car hire services, these accessories will be under our driver’s care.
